On the local level, the Bozeman City Commission has passed the Community Climate Action Plan. KXLF reports that the plan is an outline of suggestions developed to reduce the city’s climate footprint.  Implementation is expected to be done over time, with each recommendation addressed in a public way.

The U.S. Department of Energy has issued a green innovation challenge. The i6 Green Challenge awards will be given to six teams around the country with innovative ideas on how to drive the green energy economy. Renewable energy comes to school in Colorado according to Boulder County's Daily Camera. Two schools in Boulder are constructing a renewable-energy outdoor classroom. Students will have the opportunity to use the space as an outdoor lab, with hands-on learning.
